3D Environment Design and Assets Creation for Real-time Virtual Reality Experience
You'll build 3D environments and real-time-ready assets for an ongoing VR narrative — low-poly, stylised worlds designed to feel immersive in six degrees of freedom, not just look good in a still render.
What you'll do
Model, texture, and optimise 3D assets and environments for a real-time VR narrative, working closely with the project's artistic and technical direction. You'll iterate through feedback cycles, help shape how a semi-realistic, 2D-inspired look translates into a fully explorable 3D space, and see your work integrated into an actual production pipeline — not a standalone exercise.
You'll be a good fit if
- You're comfortable in the 3D pipeline — modelling, texturing, basic animation — in Maya, Blender, or Substance Painter.
- You have some familiarity with Unity or Unreal and real-time rendering.
- You can sketch, draw, or work with a tablet for animatics and prototyping.
- You're curious about low-poly optimisation, spatial sound, or AI-assisted 3D tools (Meshy, Claude, Creality) — even if you haven't used them yet.
Open to 3rd/4th-year Bachelor's or 2nd-year Master's students in Design, Animation & VFX, or related fields.
